Robert Dancik, a jewelry designer and sculpture, has taken his fine artist's instincts and his mystical sensibilities to create an interesting new book published by North Light Books, Amulets and Talismans: Simple Techniques for Creating Meaningful Jewelry. I offer a more detailed review here, but basically this book will appeal to anyone who enjoys connecting emotions, memories, and spirituality with their jewelry art. Another appeal is the fact that he uses a number of interesting cold connections - rivets, jump rings, wrapped loops - connect elements of his jewelry pieces. Even if you aren't sure about the mystical approach of this book, anyone interested in learning different ways to connect jewelry components without the use of a torch will find something of interest in this text.
